Additive Manufacturing Technologies, or AMT for short, is a British company based in Sheffield. The company was founded in 2017 by Joseph Crabtree and has since specialized in automating the post-processing of 3D-printed components for a wide range of users.
From prototyping tool to full-fledged end-use production
The goal behind the founding of AMT was to transform 3D printing from a tool for rapid prototyping into a tool for high-quality end-use components. However, to achieve this goal, the previously lengthy post-processing procedure had to be rationalized on the one hand, and the surface finishes of the 3D-printed components optimized on the other – and with its post-processing solutions, AMT has met this goal.
With dedicated systems for various finishing steps – the DP series for de-powdering, the SB series for surface blasting and the SF series for chemical vapor smoothing of components – AMT supplies the right solution for a wide range of technologies for post-processing automation.

In order to be able to offer our customers, who come from a wide range of industries and have different capacities, a suitable finishing solution, the partnership with AMT was ideal for us.
