Desktop Metal® H13 / 1.2344 (Studio System™)

H13 is characterized by its hardness and abrasion resistance.

The material also has exceptional heat resistance, resistance to thermal fatigue and stability during heat treatment. This makes H13 tool steel an ideal material for hot and cold work applications such as molds.

Yield strength 650 MPa
Tensile strength 1325 MPa
Hardness 35 HRC
Density (relative) ≥ 93.5

Hot work tool steel with very good hot strength properties, high hot wear resistance, and good toughness and thermal conductivity.

The material is water-coolable and insensitive to fire cracking.

Applications are die casting tools, press dies, press mandrels, ejectors and plastic molds.
