The Kanagawa Cancer Center is dedicated to supporting the medical and rehabilitation efforts of the Prefectural hospitals, with a team that has helped more than 90,000 patients return to normal life. They wanted to realize an independent production of rehabilitation tools and with that become a pioneer in utilizing 3D printers in medical institutions.
Furthermore, they wanted to streamline their whole manufacturing process, which includes everything from patient diagnosis to patient trials.

Objects of Common Interest - An armchair project - from plastic to aluminium
Objects of Common Interest was formed by Eleni Petaloti and Leonidas Trampoukis, with a focus on “creating still-life installations, experiential environments and objects, demonstrating a fixation with materiality, concept and tangible spatial experiences.”
The team used a high resolution 3D model of the chair to produce the molds that were used to cast the final pieces in aluminum. However, before the team could begin casting, they needed to create a plastic model of the chair to make the molds.

Yonder Deep's primary objective is to collect acoustic data of popping bubbles near the terminus of a glacier in Svalbard,
Norway, which offers valuable insights into the rate of glacial melting and its impact on global warming. The development of such vehicles can cost millions though - so Yonder Deep had to find a way to make research cheaper.
