The PostPro SF2X builds on the global success of AMT's PostPro SFX series, delivering next-generation vapor smoothing with double the chamber capacity to meet the needs of industrial additive manufacturing at scale. This system offers precise surface perfection and internal cavity sealing for PA11, PA12, TPU, and PP parts produced via technologies such as MJF, SLS, HSS, and select FDM materials.
The vapor smoothing process gently melts the outer surface of printed components to deliver a smooth, glossy finish that rivals injection molding. This not only visually enhances parts but also improves mechanical properties by sealing pores and internal cavities, thereby boosting chemical resistance and structural integrity without compromising dimensional accuracy.
The system's chamber measures 250 × 390 × 250 mm with a 24.4-liter volume, doubling capacity compared to its predecessor, supporting higher throughput with consistent quality. Using the eco-friendly PostPro Pure consumable, the process emphasizes operator safety and sustainability, making it suitable for production environments focused on full lifecycle compliance.

PostPro SF2X’s vapor smoothing process significantly reduces surface roughness, smoothing out layer lines to create a finish that rivals injection-molded parts. This results in parts that look professional and are tactilely smooth, making them ideal for end-use applications needing high aesthetic quality.
The vapor smoothing gently melts and fuses the outer surface of printed parts, sealing micro-pores and internal cavities. This sealing reduces moisture absorption and prevents contaminants from entering, which substantially improves the part’s mechanical durability and chemical resistance.
With a 24.4-liter chamber volume—double that of its predecessor—the SF2X supports higher batch volumes without compromising finishing quality. This scalability helps manufacturers increase productivity and handle medium-sized production runs efficiently.
