INFINAM PA 6014 P is a high-performance, carbon black reinforced polyamide 12 powder tailored for powder bed fusion technologies such as SLS, MJF, and HSS. This premium black nylon powder offers excellent flow properties and sintering consistency, enabling the fabrication of durable, chemically resistant parts with exceptional surface finish and true pigmentation.
Developed through Evonik’s innovative precipitation process, INFINAM PA 6014 P features carbon black encapsulated in the core of the PA12 particles, ensuring superb color uniformity and eliminating the need for secondary coloring steps. This design enhances the powder's flowability and packing density, resulting in homogeneous sintering and reliable part quality.
The carbon black infusion provides outstanding resistance to UV radiation, surface abrasion, and environmental degradation, making it an optimal choice for parts exposed to prolonged sunlight and harsh conditions. INFINAM PA 6014 P combines this with the inherent chemical resistance and mechanical robustness of PA12, supporting applications that demand high strength, impact resistance, and durability.
This powder is also food contact compliant, enabling its use in hygienic environments such as medical devices and food processing equipment. Its versatility extends from prototyping to serial production, backed by sustainable manufacturing practices and high material reusability.
Technical Information:
Heat Deflection Temperature: Approximately 195°C
Chemical Resistance: High (oils, solvents, greases)
Application Technology: Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) including SLS, MJF, HSS
Food Contact Approved: Yes
Thanks to the unique core-shell encapsulation of carbon black, INFINAM PA 6014 P delivers a deep, uniform black color directly from the printing process. This reduces post-processing steps like dyeing or painting, saving time and costs while ensuring high aesthetic quality.
The addition of engineered carbon black enhances the material’s resistance to ultraviolet rays and surface abrasion, making it ideal for outdoor and high-wear applications. Parts produced with INFINAM PA 6014 P are less prone to fading, cracking, and surface degradation over time.
This material’s robust mechanical properties enable the production of impact-resistant, durable parts suitable for functional and structural applications. It maintains strength and impact resistance even under prolonged physical stress or harsh environments.
INFINAM PA 6014 P is highly resistant to oils, greases, and polar/non-polar solvents, making it suitable for use in industrial environments that expose parts to chemicals, ensuring longevity and reliability.
INFINAM PA 6014 P focuses more on enhanced mechanical properties, offering superior strength and durability for demanding applications where high mechanical performance is essential, even if powder recyclability is not the primary concern.
Durable exterior parts and housings that resist environmental stress, chemicals, and UV radiation.
Sterilizable and compliant parts designed for safety and hygiene in healthcare and food processing.
Weather-resistant, abrasion-proof enclosures and functional components built to last.
Chemical and wear-resistant components suited for demanding industrial environments.
